New Pics in gallery, more to come! New work for sale under AVAILABLE WORK! The LCD has gone out
in my camera!!! I have been experimenting with different backgrounds because
the silver lined beads were really washing out on the white background so I
went to black. LOVE the new pics. Here is a sample! See the difference form the one from December 3rd!

Till next time, Bernadette Wednesday, January 6th
On
my Face Book page is a picture of my mom holding a Teddy Bear and dad
sleeping. They grew up in the depression. They did not have much. My
mom talked about times when all they had for breakfast was a cup of
coffee. Ice cream was only a nickel and when the ice cream man would
come she would cry because her father did not even have a nickel to
give her. In September I was visiting my parents who live in
Albuquerque. My mom mentioned that she had always wanted a light
colored Teddy Bear. I had intentions to take her to Build a Bear for
her 84th Birthday which was in October. Did not make it because it
snowed 24". Searched and searched and not one Teddy Bear stood out to
me. Then finally was going to settle for two small one that were not
the right size or color. Then all of a sudden I looked up and on the
very top self at the store there he was. I jumped up to tap them and
bring them down . Only the one came down. He was the right size and
color and so very soft. On Christmas day she said to one of my sisters
"Give me the package Berna send me a sweater." When she opened the
package she said "It's a Teddy Bear! I have always wanted a Teddy
Bear!" My sister said that she held back the tears then said "I am
going to sleep with him" She suffers from Dementia. Wished I could have
been there to see how happy and surprised she was when she got
something that she had always wanted. She had never mentioned it before
so we were never aware of her wish to have a Teddy Bear. My dad
opened his present on the day that the box we sent arrived. We gave him
a large box of chocolates that were filled with different liquors. My
mom said that he quickly took them to another room. Were I venture to
guess that he had one maybe two. Hee Hee! Maybe after Tucson I will
get out to Albuquerque to see my parents and take my mom to Build a
Bear! I have made a glass heart for her to put into her new friend.
Till next time, Bernadette (AKA Berna to family members)
